What is the story about?
The makers of the highly anticipated film Subedaar released the first official poster on Tuesday, featuring veteran actor Anil Kapoor in the lead role. The poster instantly grabbed attention, showing Kapoor in an intense and fierce look.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shared the poster on social media, calling the film a "gripping tale of duty, honour, and social realities."
Prime Video India also released the first teaser of Subedaar on Tuesday morning, giving fans a thrilling sneak peek. In the short clip, Kapoor looks rugged and intense, wearing a striped white shirt, beige pants, and slippers. He's inside a dark room that's locked from the inside, and people outside are trying to barge into the room.
The 69-year-old is seen sitting on a wooden chair, calmly signalling with his hand, and a gun magically appears in his hands as he prepares for the attackers to break in. As the camera zooms out, Anil's voiceover is heard, "Fauji taiyar".
Nikhil Madhok, director and head of Originals at Prime Video India, said, "Subedaar is both a high-octane action movie as well as a deeply moving father-daughter story. It features a tremendous performance from Anil Kapoor playing an action hero that will make people root for him right from the outset."
"With superstar and powerhouse actor Anil Kapoor at the centre, the film offers audiences a compelling cinematic experience like never-before exclusively on Prime Video," said producer Vikram Malhotra.
Earlier, the makers released the poster, giving fans the first look at Anil Kapoor as Subedaar. In the poster, his face is smeared with dirt and determination, which looks powerful and in an action-ready pose. The focus of the image is a bloodied fist stretched forward, with the letters ‘FK’ on the knuckles.
The caption of the poster reads, "You’ve been warned. #SubedaarOnPrime, Coming Soon."
Helmed by Suresh Triveni, Subedaar will be released on Prime Video on March 5, 2026. The film also features Radhikka Madan, Aditya Rawal, Saurabh Shukla, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
