What is the story about?
Singer Neha Kakkar has put an end to divorce rumours involving her husband, singer Rohanpreet Singh, days after she announced a brief break from work, responsibilities and relationships.
Addressing the speculation,Neha clarified there was no trouble in her marriage. Calling out the assumptions, she urged people to stop linking her professional pause to her personal life.
The 37-year-old also appealed to the people not to drag her husband Rohanpreet Singh or her family into the issue, stressing that they were innocent and her strongest support system.
"Guys please don't drag my innocent husband or my sweetest family in all this plz! They are the purest people I know and whatever I am today, it’s because of their support," she wrote.
Without naming anyone, she said her posts were not directed at her husband or her family, but she was upset with certain people and aspects of the system. "It’s a few other people and the system that I’m upset with."
"I hope you get it and let my husband and my family stay out of all this and yes I agree I shouldn’t be so emotional when it comes to posting on social media," she added.
"I shouldn't be so emotional when it comes to posting on social media coz media people know very well ke 'Rai ka pahaad kaise banaya jaata hai'. Lesson learnt!"
Neha also apologised to her fans, whom she fondly calls NeHearts, thanked them for their love and concern, and reassured them that her break is only temporary.
Calling herself too emotional for this world, she wrote, "Bechari emotional Nehu is too emotional for this world! Sorry and thank you, my NeHearts. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon with a BANG! Much love!"
Her clarification came days after she posted two updates announcing that she was taking a break. In the first post, she wrote, "Time to take a break from Responsibilities, Relationships, Work and Everything I can think of right now. Not sure if I’ll be back or not. Thank you."
In the second post, she requested privacy from fans and the media and urged paparazzi and fans not to record her. "And I request Paparazzi and Fans to Not to film me at all. I hope you respect my privacy and let me live freely in this world. No Cameras Plz I request! This is the least you all can give me for my peace," she added.
Neha and Rohanpreet, who tied the knot in October 2020, are often seen sharing affectionate moments on social media.
