Now, Abhishek Bachchan, in collaboration with Lotus Developers and its subsidiary Rise Root Projects Pvt. Ltd, will develop the site into an ultra-luxury mixed-use project. The development will include premium residential units, Grade-A commercial offices, and retail spaces. The project is structured under a profit-sharing model, with the Bachchan family retaining ownership of the land. Construction is expected to begin once statutory approvals are in place, with a planned built-up area exceeding 10 lakh square feet and a completion timeline of four years.
Local leaders have welcomed the development. Sarpanch Arpit Patel, as reported by ANI, said, "I am thankful to PM Modi. In 2007, when he was the CM, GIFT City was started. Since then, we have seen it expanding... We have gained a unique identity as a village... We will gain significant benefits from the development of the Sabarmati riverfront... He (Amitabh Bachchan) is going to do a joint venture for a development project with Shree Lotus Group..."
