Bosch, a crowd favourite throughout the competition, made headlines earlier in the pageant when she briefly walked off stage in her evening gown and heels after being berated by a Thai pageant director.
Thailand’s Praveenar Singh finished as the first runner-up, followed by Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali as second runner-up. The Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo and Ivory Coast’s Olivia Yacé secured the third and fourth runner-up spots respectively.
India’s Manika Vishwakarma, who represented the country at this year’s edition, did not qualify for the Top 12.
During the final round, contestants were asked a series of questions, including which global issue they would raise at the United Nations General Assembly and how they would use the Miss Universe platform to empower young girls. In her final statement, Bosch emphasised the importance of self-belief, saying, "Believe in the power of your authenticity. Your dreams matter, your heart matters. Never let anyone make you doubt your worth."
The next Miss Universe pageant will be hosted in Puerto Rico.
