'One Last Adventure': Netflix to take fans behind the scenes of Stranger Things

Netflix has announced a new documentary on the making of the Stranger Things final season. The documentary promises fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the production, cast, and crew as they brought the hit series' final chapter to life.

Titled One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5, the film will premiere on January 12, which will give insights into how the final season was made and the effort behind the Duffer Brothers' hit series.

The trailer also features glimpses of the show's early days, with still images of the young cast from the first season.

"A decade after rewiring pop culture, Stranger Things returns for its final chapter," the synopsis reads.

Director Martina Radwan said that she feels "endlessly grateful" to the Duffers for allowing her a front-row seat to the making of the final season. "Spending a full year on set with them was a true privilege — and an absolute thrill," she added.

"Being able to get close and watching them bring this beloved show to life in real time was pure joy. I only wish I could travel back in time and document Seasons 1-4," Radwan added.

Duffer Brothers said they were inspired by behind-the-scenes documentaries like The Lord of the Rings when they were growing up in Durham, North Carolina.

"We dreamed of becoming filmmakers, but Hollywood felt impossibly far away," they said, adding, "Everything changed when we watched the behind-the-scenes documentaries for The Lord of the Rings," as those films showed the real work, pressure, and effort behind a massive production.

The creators explained that with the decline of physical media, that kind of behind-the-scenes storytelling has largely disappeared. With this documentary, they aimed to revive that experience for audiences, marking the end of the long-running series.
