Set in Kerala’s high ranges during the late 1950s, Pallichattambi is positioned as an action-driven period film rooted in the lives of migrant farming communities. The film is directed by Dijo Jose Antony, whose earlier work includes Jana Gana Mana and Queen. Tovino Thomas leads the film as the central character, with Kayadu Lohar cast opposite him. Lohar made her Malayalam debut with Pathonpathaam Noottandu and later appeared in Oru Jaathi Jathakam. She has also featured in the Tamil film
The supporting cast includes Vijayaraghavan, Johny Antony, Sudheer Karamana, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Vinod Kedamangalam, and Prashanth Alexander. There have also been unconfirmed reports of a cameo by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who previously collaborated with the director on Jana Gana Mana. No official confirmation has been issued on this front.

The script for Pallichattambi is written by S Suresh Babu, whose earlier credits include Dada Sahib, Shikkar, Nadan, Kanal, and Oruthee. Music is composed by Jake Bejoy, continuing his recent run of high-profile projects. Cinematography is handled by Tijo Tomy, with editing by Sreejith Sarang.
The film is produced by Noufal and Brijeesh along with the CCC Brothers, under the banners of World Wide Films and C Cube Bros. It is slated for release in five languages.
Release window
Pallichattambi is scheduled to reach theatres one week after the release of Drishyam 3, which is set for April 2, 2026. With its period setting, ensemble cast, and fixed release date, the film now moves into its final stretch ahead of release.
