Abundantia Entertainment will debut on Netflix in 2026 with two projects, marking the start of a new partnership between the studio and the streaming platform. The announcement at the Next On Netflix event said the slate includes a drama series titled Family Business and a comedy film titled Maa Behen.
Family Business stars Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma and is directed by Hansal Mehta. The series also features Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, Akash Khurana, Anant Nag, Kanwaljit Singh, Apara Mehta, Dhruv
Sehgal, Nandish Sandhu, Raima Sen, Tina Desai, Rohan Mehra, Inayat Sood and Madhoo. The story centres on a business conflict shaped by family relationships, ambition and legacy.
Maa Behen stars Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga and Ravi Kishan. The film is directed by Suresh Triveni.
The Netflix collaboration expands Abundantia Entertainment’s presence across streaming platforms. The studio said it aims to build a diversified content portfolio across formats and genres.
Founded in 2013 by Vikram Malhotra, Abundantia Entertainment develops and produces films and series for theatrical and streaming release. Its past films include Baby, Airlift, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, Chhorii, Jalsa, Ram Setu, Sukhee and Chhorii 2.
The company was an early entrant in India’s streaming market with the Amazon Original series Breathe in 2018, followed by Breathe: Into The Shadows. The latter marked the digital series debut of Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen.
Abundantia’s upcoming slate also includes Triveni’s action drama Subedaar starring Anil Kapoor, the comedy Maa Behen, a remake of the Malayalam film Angamaly Diaries, and projects with Rajesh Krishnan, Sandeep Modi, Jai Mehta, Mayank Sharma and Bhav Dhulia.
The studio is also developing a screen adaptation of the book Flawed – the Nirav Modi saga, directed by Palash Vaswani. In series production, Abundantia is working on Daldal, a crime drama based on the Rita Ferreira books starring Bhumi Pednekar.
The company has also launched a new division called Abundantia aiON focused on AI-assisted storytelling. Two films under this banner are in development: Jai Santoshi Mata: SukhSampatti Daata and Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal, the latter in partnership with Collective Artists Network.
