Telugu actor Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela, have been blessed with twins. The couple welcomed a boy and a girl.
The announcement was made by Ram Charan's father and megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela on social media.
"With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins - a baby boy and a baby girl," Chiranjeevi wrote on X.
The veteran actor has updated fans that the children and their mother are fine. Sharing his excitement, Chiranjeevi wrote, "Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents. We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings and good wishes -Chiranjeevi & Surekha."
Speculations regarding the twins began circulating on the Internet during Diwali last year, when a video was shared by Upasana from her baby shower.
"This Diwali was all about double the celebration, double the love and double the blessings," she wrote in the caption.
Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed their first child - daughter Klin Kara - in 2023 after being married for nearly a decade.
The actor got engaged to Upasana, who is vice chairperson of Apollo Charity, in December 2011. They tied the knot in June 2012 after remaining friends for several years.
Upasana is the granddaughter of Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C Reddy.
Ram Charan, 40, made his debut in acting with the action thriller Chirutha in 2007. Post that, he went on to feature in several major projects, such as SS Rajamouli's fantasy action film Magadheera (2009), Orange (2010), Racha (2012), Naayak (2013), Yevadu (2014), Govindudu Andarivadele (2014), and Dhruva (2016) and RRR (2022).
He was last seen onscreen in Game Changer, alongside Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah and Srikanth. The film came out in January last year.
The actor is currently gearing up for the release of sports action drama Peddi in March.
