O Romeo teaser out: Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s romantic drama to release on February 13

The first look teaser of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film O Romeo was released on Saturday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the update on X.

Adarsh described the film as a “high-octane romantic action drama” and confirmed that the project marks the reunion of Bhardwaj and Kapoor after their earlier collaborations on - Kaminey, Haider and Rangoon.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 13, 2026 - timed around the Valentine’s Day weekend.

O Romeo trailer and cast details

The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. The ensemble cast includes Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Farida Jalal, Aruna Irani, Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia.


The teaser was described by the makers as a “peek into the world of O Romeo.” It offers a brief look at the film’s tone rather than its story. It leans toward action and intensity, with Kapoor shown in a physically transformed role.

Look and visual tone

The first look poster, shared earlier this week, showed Kapoor in a blood-streaked, tattooed avatar. He appears in dark clothing, wearing multiple accessories including rings, bracelets and a chain. The styling suggests a character positioned in conflict rather than romance.

Kapoor has undergone a visible physical transformation for the role - including full-body tattoos designed specifically for the character.

Release and production

O Romeo is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and presented under his banner. The film is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, known for blending stylised visuals with darker themes.

The release date has been confirmed as February 13, 2026.

Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming projects

Kapoor was last seen in the action thriller Deva, directed by Rosshan Andrrews. He is also attached to Cocktail 2, where he will reportedly star alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
