The Ikkis trailer starkly shifts from the grim atmosphere of war, painted with "smoke and flames," to the personal journey of Khetarpal. Narrated by Jaideep Ahlawat, the story highlights Khetarpal's courageous leadership in the Battle of Basantar, where his tank command becomes central to the film's premise.
In a poignant performance, Dharmendra portrays Arun’s father, capturing the pride of a parent. The trailer concludes with a delivery of his touching dialogue, "Woh hamesha ikkis ka hi rahega (He will always remain 21)."
Ikkis marks Raghavan's directorial debut in the war genre. The director is well-known for his expertise in thrillers such as Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddar and Andhadhun.
The biographical war drama is based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, featuring his extraordinary bravery during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Ikkis, which was originally slated for a December 2025 release, is all set to hit theatres on January 1, 2026. Following its theatrical run, the movie will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
