Battle of Galwan is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash

The teaser description reads: “At over 15,000 feet above sea level, in one of the harshest terrains, courage was tested like never before. Battle of Galwan brings to life a defining chapter of Indian history, a conflict fought in conditions where restraint, resolve, and sacrifice became the ultimate weapons.”

The film is based on a chapter from the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China. Salman Khan plays Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, the real-life officer who led his unit during the confrontation. The story takes reference from the best-selling book India’s Most Fearless, which documented several military operations from recent years.
