What is the story about?
The trailer of Drishyam 3 brings back Mohanlal as Georgekutty in the third instalment of the Malayalam thriller franchise directed by Jeethu Joseph. The trailer shows Georgekutty and his family once again under scrutiny as police officials, investigators and the media revisit the case tied to the earlier films. Several scenes hint at growing tension within the family, with Georgekutty appearing visibly disturbed as questions from the past resurface.
In one scene, Georgekutty’s wife Rani, played by Meena, asks whether their troubles are truly over. Another sequence shows a character questioning him about “the acid”, prompting Georgekutty to reflect on his actions.
The film also stars Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Siddique, Asha Sharath and Murali Gopy. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the film is presented by PEN Studios and Panorama Studios.
The Drishyam franchise began in 2013 and was later remade in several languages, including Hindi, where Ajay Devgn played the lead role. Drishyam 3 is scheduled to release in theatres on May 21, 2026.
