What is the story about?
The winners of the 55th Kerala State Film Awards 2025 were announced on Monday, November 3. Chaired by actor Prakash Raj, a seven-member jury has selected the winners for this edition. The awardees were announced by the Kerala Minister for Fisheries, Culture and Youth Affairs Saji Cherian during a press conference in Thrissur.
Directed by Chidambaram S. Poduval, the popular survival drama Manjummel Boys received Best Film for the year 2024, while Mammootty was honoured with Best Actor for Bramayugam. Debut star Shamla Hamza bagged the trophy for Best Actress for her performance in
Feminichi Fathima.
As per several media reports, only 26 films qualified for the final round from the total 128 films from 2024 that were submitted for this year's prize.
