What is the story about?
Proclaimed director Michael Bay is all set to make his debut in the Indian film industry. The epic collaboration was announced by Bhanushali Studios Limited (BSL), led by Vinod Bhanushali, which will be "creatively collaborating" with Hollywood's visionary storyteller on this project.
The project will be directed by Anthony D'Souza, known for hits like Boss, Blue, and Azhar, and will feature music by the legendary AR Rahman.
In a post on X, Vinod Bhanushali reshared a statement that was initially posted by BSL, writing, “To new partnerships.” "Proclaimed Filmmaker, Michael Bay to creatively collaborate with Bhanushali Studios Limited for an Anthony D'Souza directorial with music by maestro AR Rahman," the statement read.
“When different worlds of cinema come together, it opens up a beautiful space for music," according to the music maestro.
Sharing a picture with Vinod Bhanushali and Anthony D'Souza on Instagram, Bay wrote, "My First Creative Collaboration in INDIA with BSL Studios."
This marks Michael Bay's first creative partnership with an Indian film and studio. Bay is known for his high-grossing films like Bad Boys, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, The Transformers Franchise, A Quiet Place Franchise, and so much more.
The film promises to be an adrenaline-charged experience, combining Bay's mastery with Rahman's musical universe.
In a statement, Bay said, "It will be an exciting chance to mix Hollywood's action style with the heart and emotion of Indian storytelling. Working with Rahman, Vinod, and Tony is a chance to create a new kind of cinematic experience, one with power, rhythm, and incredible visuals. Tony's vision, especially how he handles scale and emotion in his movies, will make this collaboration really fulfilling."
Bay last directed the documentary film We Are Storror (2025).
