What is the story about?
Popular and beloved comedy series, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, is all set to make its cinematic debut with the release of its feature film adaptation, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun On The Run. Produced by Zee Cinema and Edit II, the upcoming film will hit the theatres on February 6, 2026.
This marks a historic milestone in Indian television history, as the still-on-air sitcom becomes the first show to transition to the big screen. The film promises to bring back the iconic characters, including Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh), Tiwari (Rohitashv Gaur), Angoori Bhabi (Shubhangi Atre), and Anita Bhabi (Vidisha Srivastava), among others.
For the big screen, the original cast will be joined by powerhouse stars such as Ravi Kishan, Mukesh Tiwari, and Nirahua, adding their comedic flair to the adventure.
In a post shared on X, Zee Studios wrote, "Bhabiji jo ab tak ghar par thi, ab bade parde par aayengi #BhabijiGharParHainFunOnTheRun releasing in theatres on 6th February!" The makers also unveiled two intriguing stills from the film.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, which premiered on March 2, 2015, on &TV, has completed an impressive 2500 episodes as of January 2025. Inspired by the classic 1990s Hindi sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has built a decade-long legacy of laughter and entertainment.
As a result of its immense popularity and the strong emotional connection it has with its audience, the show is now making a historic and unique transition to the big screen while still airing new episodes. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun On The Run transports the beloved characters to a new, laugh-filled cinematic universe, promising a chaotic and hilarious comedy adventure.
Meanwhile, rumours has it that Shilpa Shinde may return as Angoori Bhabi after nine years. The show's producers are reportedly looking to refresh the series with new elements, and filming for Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0 is expected to begin by mid-December, reported TOI. Shinde first rose to prominence as Angoori Bhabi, but she left the show in 2016, citing maltreatment, payment issues and pressure to sign restricted contracts.
