The legal battle between "It Ends With Us" co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has not yet ended.
Lively has asked the federal court in Manhattan to assess the damages she suffered as a result of Baldoni’s failed $400 million lawsuit in a separate hearing, according to the Daily Mail. Her legal team argues that she is entitled to the money under a California law because Baldoni’s countersuit, which claimed she had defamed and extorted him, was dismissed by a judge a year ago.

Baldoni countersued Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in January 2025 for $400 million on account of defamation and civil extortion. He claimed Lively fabricated the harassment allegations to seize creative control of the film.
The judge eventually dismissed the sexual harassment claims. Baldoni's extortion claims were set for trial when the two parties settled their case. In a joint statement after the deal was reached, the two sides said they agreed that Lively’s concerns deserved to be heard.
