Sunday sustained the surge, bringing in ₹114.85 crore and securing two consecutive days above the ₹100 crore mark: an unprecedented feat in Hindi cinema. The original film in the series had previously posted a lifetime gross of ₹1,307.35 crore.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge builds on the events of Dhurandhar (December 2025). The story follows Hamza in the wake of his killing of Lyari’s rising leader, Rehman Dakait, as he navigates the murky overlap of organised crime and politics in the region.
Marked by dramatic twists and adrenaline-fuelled action, the film has struck a chord with both critics and cinema-goers.
