What is the story about?
Anurag Kashyap's highly anticipated psychological thriller Kennedy is set for its digital debut. The film premiered worldwide in 2023 and was showcased at several international film festivals. It will now be available for streaming on ZEE5 starting on February 20.
Production and distribution challenges reportedly prevented Kennedy from being shown on Indian screens, even after regulatory approval. As a result, the film will be directly released on OTT, marking an important step in making it accessible to Indian audiences.
Kashyap expressed gratitude towards his colleagues and partners on social media, sharing the news and confirming the OTT release. He wrote on Instagram: "Finally, our labour of love, angst and all things in between 'Kennedy' is coming home after travelling the world on @zee5."
“All I can say is I am grateful for having been able to make this film, my team, my producers, my Studio and at the end of the day - jab jab Jo Jo hona hai tab tab so so hota hai,” he added.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news, writing: “SUNNY LEONE - RAHUL BHAT: ANURAG KASHYAP'S 'KENNEDY' TO PREMIERE ON ZEE5... #Kennedy is finally set for its digital premiere... The much-awaited title arrives on #Zee5 on 20 Feb 2026.”
