Mumbai businessman Deepak Kothari filed a fraud case against Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra linked to their now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. He alleged that they defrauded him of over ₹60 crore in a loan-cum-investment deal between 2015 and 2023, according to an IANS report.
According to Kothari, director of Lotus Capital Financial Services, the money was meant for business growth but was misappropriated for personal expenses.

“My clients have been informed by certain segments of electronic and print media that an alleged case has been registered against them at the Economic Offences Wing, Mumbai.
