The announcement comes ahead of Khan’s 60th birthday on November 2. To mark the milestone, a special Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival will begin on October 31.
The festival will run for two weeks in select cinemas across India, in association with PVR INOX. A YRF International release will also screen the films in the Middle East, North America, the UK, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.
Some
of my previous films are coming back to the theatres. The man in them hasn’t changed much - just the hair... and a little more handsome

The festival will showcase seven of Khan’s iconic films. These include Chennai Express (2013), Devdas (2002), Dil Se (1998), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na (1994), Om Shanti Om (2007), Main Hoon Na (2004), and the recent blockbuster Jawan (2023). The films will be shown in over 75 cinemas across more than 30 cities in India.
Shah Rukh Khan described the event as a reunion with audiences. He said, “Cinema has always been my home, and seeing these films find their way back to the big screen feels like a beautiful reunion. These movies are not just my stories; they belong to the audience that has lovingly embraced them over the last 33 years.”
Fans responded with excitement on social media, expressing their eagerness to relive films like Devdas and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na. Some also requested additional re-releases, such as Swades (2004).
The film festival highlights Khan’s versatility. It spans action, romance, drama, and comedy, from the patriotic fervour of Main Hoon Na to the romantic epic Devdas, the boy-next-door charm of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na, and the entertainment spectacle of Om Shanti Om and Chennai Express. Jawan represents his continued box-office success after three decades.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will next appear in Siddharth Anand’s King, co-produced by Marflix Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, and others. King is tentatively scheduled for release on Gandhi Jayanti 2026.
