ICAI Exam Postponed: ICAI has pushed back the CA Intermediate Auditing and Ethics paper and will announce the fresh date soon. The Institute of Chartered
Accountants of India (ICAI) has shared an important update for CA Intermediate students appearing in the January 2026 session. The institute has postponed the Auditing and Ethics exam because of administrative and unavoidable reasons. The paper was earlier scheduled as Paper-5 on January 19, 2026. ICAI said the decision has been taken keeping students’ convenience in mind and to make sure the examination process is conducted smoothly. Candidates who registered for this subject will now appear for the paper as per a revised timetable, which will be released shortly. The institute has clarified that this change applies only to the Auditing and Ethics paper. All other CA Intermediate and Foundation exams will continue on their original dates and at the same centres. Students do not need to download a fresh hall ticket, as the existing admit card will remain valid for the rescheduled exam.
What about the remaining papers?
ICAI has made it clear that no other subjects have been affected. Every other paper will be held as planned. Students have been asked to ignore unofficial messages and depend only on updates shared on the official ICAI website, icai.org.What students should keep in mind
