PPC 2026 has truly become a pan-India event, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacting with students across the country, including Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Dev Mogra (Gujarat), and Guwahati (Assam). The dialogue brought together students from east, west, north, south, and central India on one shared platform, demonstrating the program's pan-India reach.
The official trailer for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026 was released today, January 27, on PM Modi's official YouTube channel, giving a sneak peek into this year's event. The video showcases the programme's scale, format, and nationwide participation, which is recorded and broadcast across platforms.
This edition witnessed over 4.5 crore registered participants and an additional 2.26 crore individuals actively participating in related activities, totalling an impressive 6.76 crore+ participants this year.
Organised annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, the online registrations for PPC 2026 opened on December 1, 2025, on the MyGov portal and closed on January 11, 2026.
The eighth edition ofPariksha Pe Charchaaired on February 10, 2025. The engagement took place in an innovative new format at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, bringing together 36 students from each state and union territory, representing government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, CBSE schools, and Navodaya Vidyalayas.
PPC set an outstanding Guinness World Record in 2025, with students from over 245 nations, teachers from 153 countries, and parents from 149 countries taking part.
This year, Pariksha Pe Charchahas broken records, surpassing last year's Guinness World Record with over 4 crore online registrations.
In a post on X, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on January 10, said, "#PPC2026 has surpassed last year’s Guinness World Record of 3.56 crore registrations with more than 4 crore online participants already."
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual, interactive, and high-participation event wherePM Modi engages with students, parents, and teachers to discuss exams, stress management, and life skills. It's evolved into a Jan Andolan over the years, promoting a positive and confident approach to exams.
Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, can participate in the Pariksha Pe Charcha. All registered participants who complete the activity receive a certificate of participation from MyGov. This initiative, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been inspiring learners since 2018, with the 9th edition taking place in January 2026.
