Uno Minda's Q1 Profit and Revenue Rise

Uno Minda on Wednesday, August 6, announced its earnings for the June quarter. Net profit surged 47% year-on-year to 291 crore from ₹198.5 crore last year.

Revenue rose 17.6% year-on-year to ₹4,489 crore.

The same was ₹3,817.5 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Uno Minda's Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) also increased 33% year-on-year to ₹543 crore. The company reported an EBITDA of ₹408 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

EBITDA margin for the period expanded by 100 basis points to 12% as against last year's 11%.

Shares of UNO Minda Ltd. soared to day's high of ₹1,114.10, up 1%, following the earnings announcement.
