Sarda Energy and Minerals Ltd on Monday (December 22) informed about an accident at its captive power plant located at Siltara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
According to the company, the incident occurred in the evening hours of Saturday, December 20, 2025, due to a leakage in a steam pipeline at the power plant unit. The accident resulted in one casualty, while another person sustained serious injuries.
The company said the reason for the leakage in the steam pipeline is yet to be ascertained. It added that the leakage was swiftly brought under control following the incident. Sarda Energy & Minerals stated that the emergency procedures at the plant functioned as designed during the incident.

In August this year, Sarda Energy and Minerals said it had been declared a successful bidder for Senduri Coal Mine in Madhya Pradesh on a 9.5% revenue sharing basis with the state government. The mine has total geological reserves of 248.54 million tonnes of G9 (provisional) grade of coal.
Shares of Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd ended at ₹510, down by ₹0.088, or 0.45%, on the BSE today, December 22.
