The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced an extension of trading hours for the equity derivatives segment by 10 minutes, effective August 3, 2026.
Under the revised schedule, trading in equity derivatives will now conclude at 3:40 pm instead of the current 3:30 pm.
The exchange said the change has been introduced to align derivatives market timings with the revised closing auction framework in the cash market.
According to NSE, the extension follows recent modifications to trading modalities and is aimed at ensuring smoother coordination between the cash and derivatives segments at market close.
