Vedanta Limited on Thursday announced that its board has approved a second interim dividend of ₹16 per equity share on a face value of ₹1 each for the financial year 2025-26.
The payout amounts
to approximately ₹6,256 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been set as Wednesday, August 27, 2025, with the dividend expected to be paid within the stipulated timelines prescribed under law.
Earlier, Vedanta had intimated that it would consider the dividend at today’s board meeting. This marks the company’s second interim dividend for the current fiscal.

In FY25, Vedanta had distributed ₹43.5 per share as dividend, translating into a total payout of over ₹17,000 crore. Over the past four financial years, the company has cumulatively returned more than ₹200 per share to its investors.

Ahead of the announcement, shares of Vedanta Limited closed at ₹447.10 apiece on the NSE, up 0.36 percent.
