This is the second repeat order that Suzlon has won from Yanara in 2025.
As per the contract, Suzlon Energy will supply 102 of its S144 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), with a rated capacity of 3 MW to Yanara, for its dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Rajasthan's Barmer.
"With this collaboration, Suzlon strengthens its wind energy market leadership in Rajasthan, while Yanara expands its multi-technology clean energy portfolio," Suzlon said in its statement.
Suzlon Energy currently has a 44% market share or 2.3 GW out of Rajasthan's 5.2 GW wind capacity. It is also executing another large engineering, procurement, and construction project in the state, totaling 791 MW.
The power generated from the said orders will partially fulfil Yanara's power purchase agreement obligations with various entities, including NTPC and NHPC.
"This makes our turbines highly reliable even in high ambient temperatures like those in Rajasthan, where our continued partnership with Yanara and our market leadership reflect Suzlon’s best-in-class technology and execution excellence," Suzlon Group CEO JP Chalasani said.
Shares of Suzlon Energy are currently trading little changed in early trading on Wednesday, at ₹52.61. The stock is down nearly 30% from its 52-week high of ₹74.
