Budget 2026 Presentation: February 1 at 11 AM

The Union Budget for 2026 will be presented at 11 am on February 1, Sunday, Lok Sabha Speaker confirmed on Monday (January 12). The presentation will follow the traditional timing used for recent Union Budgets.

February 1 has become the standard date for the annual Budget exercise in recent years. The Union Budget for 2025 was also presented on February 1.

The 2026 Budget will mark Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s ninth consecutive Union Budget presentation, making it one of the longest uninterrupted Budget tenures by a finance minister. The upcoming Budget is expected to outline the government’s fiscal priorities for the next financial year amid evolving domestic and global economic conditions.
