Ashok Leyland Rises; Nifty Dips Below 24650

Sensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: The Nifty has slipped in the day's trade, the index is below the 24,650 mark. The Sensex also has shed its gains, and is up only by 25 points, inching closer to the 80,550 mark, making a

strong case for closing trade for the week in green.

The broader markets are trading in a mix. The Nifty Midcap and Smallcap indices are trading under pressure. The Nifty Midcap index is down 200 points.

When we look at some of the buzzing stocks at the bourse, the shares of Muthoot Fin surged, hitting a record high after the company announced its Q1 results. Vishal Mart stocks are also trading high.

Earnings season for the June quarter will reach its conclusion today with the last few companies reporting

results.

Vodafone Idea, Inox Wind, Indian Oil Corporation, Ashok Leyland, Glenmark Pharma, are some of the stocks that will be rounding off the earnings season by reporting numbers later in the day.
