Nifty Rises Towards 25000 Fueled by IT Stocks

  The Nifty appears to have gathered some momentum after having a relatively volatile day at the bourse so far, as the markets have swung from highs to lows in the early hours of the day's trade. The Nifty is currently trading with gains of over 100 points, trading above the 24,950 mark. The Sensex is trading with gains of close to 350 points, trading close to 81,700.

The Nifty IT sectoral index is the best-performing index with a major surge of close to 2.7%, or 960 points, with the likes of TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, and Wipro are among the top gainers

The paper stocks have been in the limelight in today's trading session. Some of the buzzing stocks in this avenue include Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers, JK Paper Limited, West Coast Paper, and Andhra Paper, among other paper stocks surged.
