The Nifty 50 index heads into a new series after a strong end to the October expiry. The index gained nearly 1,500 points during the October series and every dip has seen significant buying interest, as was also the case on Tuesday.
The next challenge for the bulls is to conquer the 26,000 mark, which has proven to be a barrier for the last few days. Banks and IT led the recovery on the Nifty during the final 30 minutes of Tuesday's trade and will continue to remain the key drivers for the index in the new series as well.
Today will be yet another day of heavy earnings, not before the market reacts to results that were reported after market hours on Tuesday, including the likes of Tata Capital, Premier Energies, and M&M Finance. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) will be the big name reporting results today, along with stocks like BHEL, APL Apollo, Coal India, HPCL, LIC Housing, Mahanagar Gas, NTPC Green, PB Fintech, RailTel, SAIL, Sagility and others.
Also, watch for AMC stocks after SEBI proposed cutting expense ratios. Tuesday's high of 26,040 will be important to watch on the Nifty, while the low of 25,811 should act as an important support. The Nifty Bank is still 350 points away from its recent high, but dips getting bought will please the bulls.
