Futures on Wall Street are on the edge ahead of the all important interest rate decision from the US Federal Reserve, which will be announced at 12:30 AM on Thursday, followed by a Press Conference by Chair Jerome Powell at 1 AM Indian Standard Time. Futures of all three benchmark indices are currently trading little changed. While the street is anticipating a 25 basis points rate cut, with the CME FedWatch pegging the odds a 89%, all eyes will be on Jerome Powell's commentary on the future of interest rates in 2026. Money and bond markets are pricing in two rate cuts from the FOMC in 2026. Ahead of the FOMC decision, Silver and Copper prices are at record highs in anticipation of a rate cut, while Gold prices are holding above the $4,200 an ounce mark.
