The Nifty Bank is trading with a deficit of about 0.40%.
The shares of Yatra Online are up 15%, rising for the second day in a row. The shares of Praj Industries have fallen a mammoth 50% from their peak.
Today is also the Sensex weekly expiry and another earnings-heavy day, possibly for one final time for the June quarter.
The 100-DMA remains the key for the Nifty; it managed to hold on to the gains, unlike in previous sessions. Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco, and ONGC are among the final few Nifty names reporting results today, along with a host of Defence and Railway PSUs like RVNL, HAL, Cochin Shipyard and others.
