The newly developed AI system excels at sifting through online content, meticulously extracting subtle identity clues from posts and other digital footprints. It then cross-references these clues to match them with actual user profiles. During rigorous testing on platforms like Hacker News and Reddit, the AI demonstrated impressive performance metrics. Specifically, on Hacker News, it achieved approximately 67% recall at a 90% precision rate. Similarly, in certain Reddit experiments, it reached up to 68% recall while maintaining 90% precision. While interview transcripts yielded lower identification rates and varied precision levels, the overall capability of this AI significantly surpasses previous methods for de-anonymization, offering a powerful new tool for identity discovery.
