Mumbai might be the “dream city” of many– but it surely is not a dream place to live in– when it comes to owning or renting a decent property, flat, or apartment. Not that the city was NOT infamous for its high rent culture in the past as well; however, with the internet becoming accessible to almost everyone, the number of similar instances coming forward has only doubled in the last few years. Adding yet another ‘matchbox apartment’ tour that left the internet feeling confused and even claustrophobic, a video was recently shared online, which went viral. The clip showed a woman showing a Mumbai apartment, which surely looked lavish as far as its maintenance, interior designing and furniture was concerned– the area itself, however, failed to impress
anyone. From the main hall to the kitchen– everything was “tiny”. What further stunned the internet was the fact that the apartment had its kitchen and bathroom quite close- where they were facing each other. Another factor that left the internet shell-shocked was the alleged price of the flat; "Rs 1.25 crore”.The post went viral in an instant, leaving netizens reacting. Most “sympathised” with Mumbaikers, while others commented on how the Government should intervene with such prices. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “Mumbai real estate feels like a massive social experiment at this point,” the post read. The post was shared on Reddit, by the handle ‘jayantikaa’. The post was shared today and pulled more than 4K views from people.
