In a shocking turn of events, an Indian local who was warning and advising a foreigner about scammers roaming around turned out to be the “real scammer” himself, as the internet hilariously dubbed him.The
story unfolded when an Indian man met a foreigner and struck up a conversation with him. The man, who appeared to be an auto-rickshaw driver, spoke in English and seemed friendly. However, after chatting for a while, he offered to drop the foreigner wherever he wanted — and that’s when the internet found the “real scammer.” The entire incident, captured on video, has since gone viral on social media. The video was shared on Instagram by a user identified as Native Ty. In the clip, the Indian man and the foreigner can be seen having a casual conversation. After greeting and welcoming the foreigner to India, the tourist asked for advice about scammers, saying he had seen warnings on social media. The Indian man confirmed this, warning him that scammers are indeed around and that he shouldn’t trust anybody.Ironically, just moments later, the same man offered to drop the tourist to his destination. When the foreigner said he wanted to go to Chandni Chowk, he asked how far it was. The Indian man, apparently an auto driver, quoted a fare of Rs 200 for 1 km. The foreigner checked on Uber and replied that the ride cost only Rs 120. The entire exchange was recorded on video and has since gone viral across social platforms.
