Cut to 2021– believe it or not, but the kid was approached by none other than Badshah- and the duo is coming out with a rap video! Wait, what? Yeah– if you haven’t guessed it already, we are talking about Sahdev Dirdo, a kid whose life changed overnight, all because of his video of singing the ‘Bachpan Ka Pyar’ song!One must be busy being under a ROCK, if they somehow missed the sensation Dirdo became back in the early 2020s, along with the song becoming a track that everyone wanted to try. Not only that, but the two also came out with a new video where the kid was singing the song, along with the singer. Not to forget the little sensation’s meeting with then Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel. The video of his meeting with Baghel showed him singing the song, while the former Chhattisgarh CM posed with him for the cameras. In the clip, the kid was at his school, in his school uniform. Hailing from Chhattisgarh, Dirdo had no phone or TV at the time, and had heard the song on someone else’s phone when he was in class 5th, as per Aaj Tak. However, after his sudden fame, where did the little kid go?Where is Sahdev Dirdo now?A video was shared on social media, shared by YouTuber Nishu Tiwari. It was Tiwari who reached out to Dirdo recently, and had a heart to heart conversation with the internet sensation. As per the video, Dirdo is all grown up and is currently in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma. Recalling his time with Badshah,the kid- smiling- hinted that the singer had given ‘something’ to his father, “in his account”. Dirdo seemingly idealises Indian rappers, like Badshah, KRSNA, Raftaar, and such. On being asked about the sudden break that his virality witnessed, Dirdo stated that his managers left, and he also met with an accident. However, after 3 years, he is hopeful that he will make a strong comeback– just like “Honey Singh” did.

Reportedly, the song was written, composed, and sung by Gujarati singer Kamlesh Barot. The song’s official name was ‘Sonu Meri Darling’, whereas the song was written in 2018.
