and his wife, Harshita Srivastava, both graduates of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), are now outsourcing their domestic responsibilities to focus on their demanding careers.Professional Support for Busy LivesGoel, who graduated from IIT Bombay, and Srivastava, an alumna of IIT Kanpur, have found it increasingly challenging to balance their professional obligations with household chores. To alleviate this burden, they have recruited a home manager to oversee various tasks, including food planning, laundry, and maintenance. Goel stated, "We hired a home manager who takes care of everything, freeing up our time to concentrate on building GreyLabs."
The home manager, who previously served as the Operations Head of a hotel chain, is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the household. This arrangement not only allows the couple to devote more energy to their work but also relieves their ageing parents of household duties. Goel emphasised, "I don’t want to burden my parents, who live with us. I prefer they enjoy their lives and travel."Cost vs. ConvenienceWhile the decision to hire a home manager may seem extravagant, Goel believes that the value of their time justifies the expense. "We pay Rs 1 lakh a month, which might be considered expensive, but we can afford it and truly value the time it saves us," he added. The couple has also shared their hiring process on social media, detailing how they sourced the home manager through a dedicated platform.The professional works from 9 AM to 6 PM, managing all household responsibilities and ensuring a seamless home environment.
