A video is going viral on social media after an Indian woman residing in South Korea advised other Indians not to come to Korea right now. Her detailed video has sparked widespread conversation and debate online. The video was shared on Instagram by a user identified as @lucknowi_nawab_in_korea. In the video, she said, “If you are an Indian and you want to come to Korea, I would say ‘don’t come.’ The competition has increased so much, and job positions for Indians are very limited. If you come here, you will end up leaving once your work contract is over, just like most foreigners do because they do not have job satisfaction. This is because they only know what they see in K-dramas and have no idea about reality. If you want to work in Korean
companies, it is very important that you know the rules and regulations of working in Korea.”She further explained, “Whatever you see is not the actual reality. There are a lot of hidden rules. You might have to work long hours that are not actually mentioned in your contract. If you leave before your boss or senior, it may be considered that you are not working hard. This is the ‘nunchi culture’ of Korea. Let me tell you about ‘hweshik’ (team dinners). If you say no to team dinners, it might be considered an attitude problem, that you don’t want to socialise with the team.”
