Expecting Indian men to behave nicely as an audience- specifically if it’s a woman who is on stage- has seemingly become a distant dream! Social media has seen far too many instances where men ended up
doing everything else, other than acting ‘human’. In yet another example of something similar, a video surfaced online, which left many questioning India's ‘women's safety status’. The clip showed Haryanvi singer Pranjal Dahiya pausing her event in the middle– to call out her audience. The video showed her confronting multiple people for their misconduct, where one specific confrontation stole the attention of many; “Teri Chhori Ki Umar Ki Hu Me. Control karo (I am your daughter’s age, control).”By the looks of it, a middle-aged man was misbehaving at the event, which left the singer frustrated, as she called him out and reminded him how she was his daughter’s age. She further asked the rest of her audience to behave. The clip soon went viral, mostly over the singer’s courage and a much-needed call to action. Most netizens praised her, while the rest sided with her for calling out the man.Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post. Check out the viral post: “Popular Haryanvi dancer and actress Pranjal Dahiya expressed strong displeasure after inappropriate remarks from an older man, prompting her sharp retort,” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘zindagi.gulzar.h’. The post was shared a few days ago and pulled 1K views from people.
