People who work in oil rigs- are something else, entirely– or is what the world has started realising as more and more videos of oil rigs facing massive oceanic waves and strokes are surfing online. Joining the bandwagon, yet another video recently surfaced on the internet, which went viral in an instant. The clip showed a massively strong oil rig– standing rather strong amid even stronger oceanic waves! Apart from the chaotic waves, what left netizens spine-chilled was the size comparison! Believe it or not, a single wave was able to cover a set of long iron strains quite easily– reflecting how massive each wave was. As soon as the clip went viral, the internet gave a rather divided reaction. For some netizens, jobs related to oil rigs were
simply ‘gold’- at least in terms of ‘salary offered’, while others expressed their respect for oil rig workers, for working in harsh weather conditions.Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.
Check out the viral post:
“Oil rig workers are paid high wages because the job is physically demanding, dangerous, and often requires long shifts in remote offshore locations. The work involves handling heavy equipment, operating in harsh weather, and following strict safety protocols, which adds to the risk and skill level required. Companies offer higher pay to attract and retain workers willing to endure the challenging conditions and extended periods away from home,” the post read. The post was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘Pubity’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 70K views from people.
