Displaying some major ‘go-getter’ behaviour, an Indian man in Mumbai- possibly looking for a way into embassy jobs- ended up ‘applying’ for a job at the Iranian Consulate General in Mumbai– in the most direct manner! Confused? Taking to social media, the man had tagged the Mumbai Iran Embassy in a post, where he had asked the organisation if they “hire Indians” for their “media team”. The question was surely rather unexpected and somewhat intriguing, making it go viral. However, apart from the man’s inquiry, what ended up gaining further online attention was the response that the Mumbai Iran Embassy gave!Responding to the Indian man, the Mumbai Iran Embassy stated that they would “genuinely love to” have Indians on board; however, they can’t
due to “no vacancies”. The response did not stop at that; the Iranian Consulate General then went ahead and stated that they do have a “soft spot for India”, because of which, bringing Indians on board seems like a “pretty great idea”.The post was quick to go viral, mostly over the wholesome and positive vibe that was displayed from both parties.“Hi, do you guys hire Indians on your media team?” the Indian man had asked. “Hi, We’d genuinely love to, but at the moment there are no vacancies. Our current team is all Iranian (with a soft spot for #India), though bringing our Indian friends onboard someday is a pretty great idea. #Iran,” the response read.Check out the viral post: The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘IRANinMumbai’.
