A woman’s late-night Delhi to Greater Noida Rapido ride turned into a pure nightmare– after the driver not only harassed her during the entire ride, but also allegedly began to text, call, and video call her for the next few days. Taking to social media, the woman shared about the ‘traumatising’ incident, which immediately went viral. As per the video, the incident happened in 2025, but it’s only now that she is sharing about the matter online, to “test the power of the internet.” The woman had shared a screenshot of the mail that she had sent to Rapido right after the incident.Allegedly, the harassment began during the ride itself, as the man was playing “sexual and suggestive” songs, along with asking about the passenger’s family and other
personal questions. Soon after the ride ended, the woman began to receive calls from the driver. She ended up blocking the number, only to receive more texts and calls from other numbers.At one point in time, the driver allegedly video-called her from a “bathroom”, which turned into yet another trauma for the passenger.The video went viral and began to receive multiple reactions. Rapido also responded to the clip.“Hi Shaivya, we’re truly sorry you had to go through such a distressing experience. No one should ever feel unsafe during or after a ride. Please know that we take such concerns very seriously, and behaviour of this nature is completely unacceptable on our platform. We’d also like to clarify that customer mobile numbers are masked on Rapido, and we’d like to investigate this further. Your safety remains our top priority, and we are committed to taking appropriate action against the captain involved.
