A routine visit to a friend turned into an expensive ordeal for a Bengaluru resident, who claims he returned to find his car badly vandalised after parking it on a roadside overnight. The man, identified as Joshua on Instagram, shared a video showing the condition of his vehicle and alleged that the damage occurred while it was parked near his friend's residence. According to him, he left the car there at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday and noticed nothing unusual about the spot at the time.Joshua said several other vehicles were parked along the same stretch of road and that he did not see any signs indicating parking restrictions. However, when he came back the following morning at around 9 am, he was met with a shocking sight. He expressed disappointment
over the incident, saying he was shocked to discover his car had been vandalised when he returned around 9 am.The video shows severe scratches etched across different parts of the vehicle, including the doors, side panels and bonnet. The most noticeable damage appears on the front of the car, where the words "NO PARKING" were allegedly scratched into the bonnet with a sharp object.Joshua further alleged that a nearby building owner was behind the vandalism, claiming stones and other sharp items had been used to damage the vehicle. He said the incident left the car with substantial harm to its paint and bodywork. While the repair costs are a concern, Joshua said he was more troubled by the manner in which the issue was handled."If there was a concern about parking, there are civil ways to communicate it. Damaging someone's property is never the answer," he wrote.Responding to questions in the comments section, Joshua clarified that he was visiting the area temporarily and was not a regular visitor. He also maintained that the vehicle was not obstructing any gate, driveway or entry point.According to Joshua, a complaint has now been lodged at Madiwala Police Station, and he is awaiting further action in the matter.
