Times Now
For many, success isn’t just measured in personal milestones — it’s in the joy of giving back to those who gave you everything. For Sanjeeva Reddy Thalla, a programmer from Telangana now living in the UK,
that joy came alive when his parents boarded a flight for the very first time — a dream moment he captured and shared online. The heartwarming video, which has been touching hearts across social media, shows Sanjeeva’s parents — who had spent most of their lives in a small Telangana village — experiencing the thrill of air travel and reuniting with their son’s family abroad. It begins with calm scenes of them sitting in the fields back home before transitioning to their bright smiles in the UK, enjoying time with their son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild. In his emotional caption, Sanjeeva wrote, “It was their first ever flight. It was their first time crossing our state’s border. It was their first time sitting in an aircraft. It was their first time wearing shoes.”
He reflected further, sharing, “Few days ago, my parents took their first-ever flight. As they were landing in the UK, my mind went back to my school days in village in Telangana, India.”Reminiscing about his humble beginnings, he added, “I remember wearing trousers with patches on them. I remember carrying my books in a school bag made from a used fertiliser sack. For much of my life, we didn’t even have a proper house. And now, here they are. In my home.”Calling it a deeply personal milestone, Sanjeeva wrote, “This isn’t the biggest achievement. This isn’t about buying a house. It is all about this moment.” He also revealed how “his mother still uses her thumbprint as a signature and his father barely signs his name in Telugu.”He ended his note on a powerful thought — “From that situation to a world where their son could bring them across continents.”The video soon went viral, touching hearts across the internet. Emotional comments flooded in — one person wrote, “You won,” while another described it as the “best feeling in the world.” A third user added, “You should be proud of yourself. It’s such a beautiful feeling to be able to do this for your parents!”
