Did ‘Pregnant’ Cop Miscarry Unborn Child At 'CJP Protest Clash'? Delhi Police Fact Checks

As the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest continues in the national capital, a rather disturbing claim began to circulate on social media. A video was shared online, which showed several female cops carrying an alleged unconscious officer to safety at the protest site. As per the video’s caption, not only was the unconscious officer “four months pregnant”, but she also ended up losing her unborn baby due to the clash. The incident immediately took over the internet, with many criticising the “violence” being displayed at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. The police further called it “completely false and misleading.”Issuing an official clarification, the police said the photographs were taken after the officer sustained injuries in a stampede-like situation during the protest. The Delhi police further stated that the woman was neither married nor pregnant. "The individual is neither married nor pregnant and is currently under medical supervision," the police said, rejecting the claims being circulated online, as per PTI.

The police urged people not to share or amplify unverified information.The CJP protesters are demonstrating in several parts of India, while in Delhi the protests have been going on for over a month at Jantar Mantar. The protesters are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak. The CJP protesters had also held a ‘Chalo Sansad’ march on Monday, July 20, which was basically a march to the Parliament of India.“This brave lady police officer was four months pregnant. @abhijeet_dipke, his goons assaulted her, Dr. Says it will b difficult for her child to be saved. @DelhiPolice u need to register FIR for culpable homicide against all @CJP_for_India leaders.
