Lucknow Station Turns Chaotic As UP Police Constable Exam Candidates Enter Train Through Windows

UP Police Constable Exam Rush: Keeping in mind that reportedly 7.23 lakh candidates appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Police constable recruitment examination on Monday, June 08, the chaos that unfolded at Lucknow railway station did not come as a surprise to many. Several disturbing videos from Lucknow stations are circulating on social media, which are showing returning exam candidates and other passengers forcefully entering the train through windows. One of the said videos showed people jumping into the train through any means possible, one after the other, while passengers “next in line” were seen helping them board the train by pushing them through the windows.The clips immediately went viral, leaving many shocked and even concerned. netizens also raised societal issues like “overpopulation and unemployment”, soon after the station videos went viral.Allegedly, the chaos and crowd took over the train after the exam candidates were returning from their exam centers after giving their exams.

As per PTI, out of 9,62,832 candidates scheduled to appear on Monday, a total of 7,23,540 candidates (75.15 per cent) attended the examination. The written examination for the recruitment of constables and equivalent posts was conducted at 1,183 centres across all 75 districts of the state in two shifts, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) said. Reportedly, the recruitment examination for 32,679 posts is being held over three days– June 08, 09 and 10– in six shifts.
