‘Classism at its finest’ was the kind of response that took over social media after a rather saddening video was shared on the internet. The clip showed a man casually climbing up the staircase in a society
building– with a huge baggage on his back. Turns out, the man was a worker for Packers and Movers, and was responsible for unloading a client’s belongings; however, the man was forced to take stairs all the way up to the sixth floor to unload everything, as the members of the housing complex allegedly denied him the use of the society lift. The video went viral in an instant, leaving netizens reacting in all kinds of ways. Most chastised the society and its rules, while some highlighted how “inhuman treatment" against service workers is only increasing in urban areas, specifically gated societies. Many also pointed out the health risks the man might face later.Times Now could not confirm the details of the post.
