A Korean man cleaning the streets of Delhi has taken the internet by surprise, but it’s his heartfelt reason behind the act that’s truly striking a chord online. At a time when conversations around civic sense and cleanliness often spark debate, his simple yet powerful gesture has left many reflecting on their own responsibilities. The video was shared on Instagram by a user identified as (@soonali_singh). In the clip, Sonali approaches a Korean man who is seen picking up garbage on the roadside and asks him about his motivation to help clean India. She says, “It’s so good to see you helping clean India. What’s your motivation?”To this, the Korean man replies enthusiastically, “Because actually, some Korean people say that India is dirty. I really
hate when they say that. So I want to clean it and make India cleaner than now, so I can bring my Korean friends and say, ‘Look at this, this is India, a very clean, very nice place.’ Of course, I know there are places like Gurgaon, Noida, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, they are all very clean. But Delhi is the capital, so we have to clean it. We should clean it.”His candid response, rooted in both pride and a sense of responsibility, has resonated widely online, with many calling his efforts both inspiring and thought-provoking.The video was captioned, “He didn’t say ‘ye mera kaam nahi hai’ or ‘government kyun nahi karti.’ He is not even Indian. It just shows humari soch mein hi kami hai.”
