School Principal Screams 'Get Lost' At Mother Over Books In UP | Viral Video

A video is going viral on social media showing a heated clash between a school principal and a mother. In the viral clip, the principal appears to lose her cool at the mother for not purchasing books from the school and threatens to remove her child’s name from the register. However, another video later surfaced on X in which the principal shared her side of the story. The incident is said to be from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.The video was shared by several users on X, including @NewsAlgebraIND, with the caption: "School Principal lost her cool at mother for not purchasing books from the school. PRINCIPAL: 'You shut up! Get lost. I am going to remove the children's name from the register.'"In the viral video, the principal can be heard shouting

at the mother and telling her to "get lost." She is also heard saying in Hindi that she will not allow the child to remain in the school. When the mother objects to her tone, the principal repeatedly shouts "shut up" and "get lost."

The video sparked widespread backlash online, with many criticising the principal for her rude and aggressive behaviour towards a parent.As per an India Today report, the parent, Neelam Verma, claimed she was instructed to buy notebooks worth Rs 1,200 only from the school. When she asked for some time, the principal allegedly behaved inappropriately, verbally abused her, and threatened to remove her child’s name. She also reportedly lodged a complaint.Amid the backlash, the principal released a clarification video, claiming that only a small part of the incident had gone viral. She stated that the clip was just a few minutes long, whereas the actual incident lasted around three hours, and alleged that the video had been edited to build a narrative. She further claimed that the parents were pressuring her to reduce the admission fee, which she said was Rs 1,300.

However, the clarification did little to calm the outrage, with many netizens arguing that such behaviour towards a parent is unacceptable regardless of the context.
